San Barbola, also recorded as Barbolia, was a plantation located in the area of present-day Seroe Patrishi. Historical records document the plantation between 1839 and 1865 under various owners, including Jan Hendrik van der Biest, Pierre Maduro, Martin van der Biezen, José Ramon van der Biezen, and members of the Penso family.
The earliest known record from 1839 describes Barbolia as a plantation of approximately 3.1 bunder (6,250 m²). In later decades, nearby parcels were recorded under names such as Biesberg, Vermont, and Mundo Novo. By 1865, the parcel known as Mundo Novo measured more than 14 bunder (28,000 m²).
